The results of our 2019 “Put a Cork in It” contest are in!

It was a fun couple of months, but all good things must come to an end, and now our first annual “Put a Cork in It” cork-art contest is done and in the history books. Our whole Westcave family is deeply grateful for everyone who entered, everyone who voted online and everyone who voted in our tasting room to make this event a success!
Here are our ten semi-finalists who competed online:
“Cork Wreath” by Christy Cabrera
“Bottle Holder” by Sasha Lowry
“3 Bedroom Condo” by Tom McCormick
“Catch of the Day” by Jim Russell
Of those, here are the six finalists who competed in our Tasting Room:
“Westcave Wall Art” by Greg Junghans
“Bulletin Board” by Gina Cannary
“Rudolph & his girlfriend Viognier” by Larry Turnipseed
“Picture Frame” by Marcy Sansone
Here is our runner up (who won two bottles of Westcave wine!):
“Wine & Cheese Tray” by Veronica Junghans
And our GRAND PRIZE WINNER (who gets a free year’s membership to our Cellar Dweller Wine Club!):
“Cork Lounger” by Susan Goings
Congrats, Susan! Our guests certainly appreciated all the hard work and creativity it took to make a WORKING lounge chair covered in corks.
Thanks again to everyone who participated and made this event not only a success but a whole lot of fun for everyone involved. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with NEXT year!
